What We Got Up to in November

Wreaths laid for remembrance day

The team is becoming familiar with our brand new online activity programme Oomph!, trying out some of the resources to mark Remembrance Day and joining live movement sessions.

Oomph! is the UK’s leading well-being business that helps enhance the mental, physical and emotional well-being of older adults. Through a variety of exercises and activities, Oomph! drives the impact of ageing in a positive way, with the motto ‘Full Life for Life’. The team at Oomph! have a strong belief that no matter what someone's passion, interests, or physical ability, their team of dedicated experts can help them enjoy life to the fullest.

In addition to this, we had a team of volunteers from Valerian Court who supported Didcot Town Council with the running of the town’s Remembrance Parade on Sunday 13th November.

Anna, Didier, Sandra and Vicky from our team were privileged to volunteer at Didcot's Remembrance Parade and Service. The popular event was very well attended and we were blessed with Autumnal sunshine.

We will also be taking part in the St Andrew’s Church Christmas Tree Festival in the nearby neighbouring village, Hagbourne. This will give the team, along with residents, the opportunity to get creative and tell the local community about Valerian Court Care Home.

As we’re safely into November, the focus really turns to the festive season with plans to attend two gift and craft markets organised by Didcot Events. We look forward to enjoying lots of festive fun throughout November and December.

If you would like to learn more about our care services or are interested in booking a home tour, get in touch with a friendly member of the team who will be delighted to assist you.
